About TPSC: The stipulation
for foundation of Public Service Commission was first integrated under Article
96C of the administration of India Act, 1919. Subsequently in 1923 ‘Lee
Commission’ was represented for the reason of preparing the principles/terms
and surroundings of Public Service Commission. Afterward, as per suggestions of
the ‘Lee Commission’ centralized Public Service Commission was recognized in
India for the former time, on 1st October, 1926. Lee Commission also suggested
for enterprise of local Public Service Commissions.
Tripura hold her statehood on 21st January, 1972 and Tripura
Public Service Commission was recognized on 30th October, 1972, under the requirements
of Article 315 of the foundation of India. Sri G.P. Bagchi was the first
Chairman and Sri I.K. Roy was the first associate of the Tripura Public Service
Commission. TPSC is, presently situated at the old congregation House of
Tripura, at Akhaura Road, Agartala.
